Catherine Tresa Alexander, or Catherine Tresa, is a model and an actress predominantly working in the Telugu and Tamil industry. She has acted in more than 20 South Indian films.

Tresa did her schooling in Dubai and moved to India after 12th grade. She studied at St. Joseph's College, Bangalore. She received training in piano, singing, debating and ice skating. Tresa got into amateur modelling at age 14. She also participated in numerous ramp shows with fashion stylist Prasad Bidapa.

Tresa made her film debut with the Kannada movie Shankar IPS (2010), where she played the role of Shilpa. She also acted in the Malayalam film The Thriller (2010) in 2010, where she played the role of Meera.

She featured in the Malayalam film Uppukandam Brothers Back in Action (2011) in 2011. In 2012, she played the role of Sujatha in Godfather (2012), and in 2013, she starred in the films Chammak Challo (2013) and Iddarammayilatho (2013).

Tresa acted in Paisa (2013) in 2013 as well as Madras (2014) and Erra Buss (2014) in 2014. She played the role of Annambika in the Telugu film Rudhramadevi (2015). In 2016, she starred in Kathakali (2016) as Meenu Kutty, in Kanithan (2016) as Anu, and in Sarrainodu (2016) as MLA Hansitha Reddy.

In 2017, she was featured in Kadamban (2017) as Rathi, in Goutham Nanda (2017) as Mugdha, in Nene Raju Nene Mantri (2017) as Devika Rani and in Kathanayagan (2017) as Kanmani. She also had a special appearance in the song A for Apple in Jaya Janaki Nayaka (2017) in 2017. She played the role of Hema in Kalakalapu 2 (2018) in 2018.

In 2019, she starred in Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven (2019), Neeya 2 (2019), and Aruvam (2019). In 2020, Tresa acted as Smita in the film World Famous Lover (2020).

She also featured in Bhala Thandanana (2022), Bimbisara (2022) and Macherla Niyojakavargam (2022). She played Dr Nithya in Waltair Veerayya (2023) in 2023.

For her performance in Madras (2014), Tresa won the Best Debut Actress award at the Ananda Vikatan Cinema Awards, Vijay Awards, and Edison Awards and the Best Female Debut - Tamil award at the 62nd Filmfare Awards South and 4th South Indian International Movie Awards in 2015.
